IAM Alternate Index Support

IAM/AIX allows you to convert VSAM files having alternate indexes to IAM files. IAM/AIX uses 20 to 70% less CPU time than VSAM.

IAM/AIX also includes support to convert VSAM RRDS file types to IAM.
